Non-alcoholic mulled wine

Made with our tasty non-alcoholic red wine Giesen New Zealand Merlot , this is the perfect drink to enjoy a cozy winter evening together. This mulled wine combines the rich flavors of spices such as cinnamon, star anise and cloves with the full tones of red wine. The result? Ingredients
- 1 bottle of non-alcoholic red wine
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 cloves
- 2 star anise
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 piece fresh ginger (about 2 cm), peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
- 1 vanilla pod, split open (optional)
Preparation method
- Pour the non-alcoholic red wine into a large saucepan and add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, orange and lemon slices.
- Also add the ginger slices and the vanilla pod, if using.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat. Do not let it boil, but simmer gently to release the flavors.
- Let the mulled wine steep for about 20 minutes. Taste and add some honey or agave syrup for a little sweetness if desired.
- Strain the mulled wine to remove the spices and fruit residues.
- Serve warm in pretty glasses and garnish with a slice of orange or star anise.
