Wild pate with fig compote and toast

Ingredients

  • 150g game pate
  • 4 slices of crispy toast
  • 2 tablespoons fig compote
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Preparation method

  1. Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or grill pan until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Place a portion of game pate, a tablespoon of fig compote and 2 slices of toast on each plate. Garnish the pate with a few leaves of fresh herbs for extra flavour and colour.
  3. Serve the pate immediately, possibly with some extra fresh herbs on top.
